XAUDUM
Discover a remote and silent beauty
Situated on a prehistoric sand dune, Xaudum is the only lodge inside the northern section of Khaudum National Park. With its large elephant population, antelope herds and sightings of the iconic African wild dog, this park is one of Southern Africa’s last true wildernesses.
Khaudum National Park‚ raw, untrammelled, and little-visited, is in the far northeast of Namibia. Xaudum Lodge, which operates as a joint venture with the local conservancy, is in
an elevated setting overlooking a fossil riverbed. Roan antelope are a Khaudum strength; painted wolves (African wild dog) range here, while herds of elephant wander through teak woodlands.
A rare opportunity to experience true wilderness
Days will centre on morning and afternoon nature drives on 4×4 tracks; with the ground and weather setting the pace, rather than following a fixed timetable. Night skies here are exceptional.
