Unlocking the alchemy of nature: the story behind our bespoke fragrance

Regenerative farming plays a vital role in nurturing Mallorca’s delicate ecosystem. Spanning 42.5-hectares along the island’s eastern shores, the Cala Falcó estate is home to a carefully tended yet wonderfully wild botanical farm where nature inspires new forms of creativity through the art of perfumery.

Here, the philosophy is simple: to farm in a way that gives back to nature. Drawing on regenerative, syntropic and agro-ecological practices, the team works to restore living soils. Particular attention is given to water stewardship, one of the island’s most important challenges.

Shaped by the unique Mediterranean climate, botanicals are cultivated in rhythm with the landscape. From native wildflowers and aromatic herbs to medicinal plants, the land is farmed seasonally and sustainably.

Co-founder of the estate, Victor Alarcón explains: “Our commitment to nature is simple: to give back more than we take. Through agro-ecology, we work to regenerate the land, restore biodiversity and protect the ecosystems that sustain us. That is the Cala Falcó way.”

From botanical farm to bespoke fragrance

The journey from plant to perfume is one of care and craftsmanship. Harvesting and distillation are carried out by hand before the fragrance-making process continues with master perfumers in the Cala Falcó atelier in Palma.

Together, we have created a bespoke fragrance that reflects our Balearic roots. The scent evokes the freshness of the coast, the warmth of the Mediterranean sun and the pleasure of slowing down.

The fragrance unfolds in three stages, each expressing a different feeling:

• Awakening opens with sea salt, marine notes, bergamot and bitter orange, bringing a fresh bright quality, recalling the Mediterranean coastline.
• Wonder reveals a softer, more playful heart of white flowers, aromatic accords, watermelon and raspberry, evoking sun-warmed landscapes and the abundance of nature.
• Serenity settles into a grounding base of sandalwood, cedarwood, musk and mineral notes, leaving a lasting impression.

Crafted around the estate’s finest natural ingredients, our fragrance is an invitation to awaken your senses, discover a sense of wonder and settle into serenity.

The art of scent and memory

For Victor, perfumery is more than the creation of beautiful aromas. It is an artistic language capable of expressing the relationship between nature, emotion and memory. As he explains: “I’ve always been fascinated by how scent can make the invisible tangible through the atmosphere of a place and the emotion of a time. With Vestige, our intention was not simply to scent a space, but to create something that becomes part of each guest’s story.”

It is this relationship between aroma and memory that lies at the heart of our collaboration. Through our new scent, we capture the essence of a stay at Vestige in a way that feels intimate and enduring.

Peppered throughout our properties, alabaster candles gently scent each space, while diffusers and in-room fragrance continue the sensory journey.
