SON VERI RESTORED
Once a working farm cultivating cereals, olives and almonds, records of the estate date back as far as the Middle Ages. Today, the 19th-century villa has been sensitively restored with sustainability at its heart, creating a quietly luxurious retreat.
WATER
Son Veri benefits from natural water sources, including a mountain spring and two cisterns collecting rainwater and runoff. These supply the house, swimming pool and gardens, while sustainable systems optimise usage year-round. Mains water is available as a reserve, ensuring a reliable and independent water connection.
ENERGY
The estate is powered primarily by a photovoltaic system with energy storage, providing clean, self-sufficient electricity. Only when demand exceeds this capacity will the mains supply be used, prioritising sustainable energy while guaranteeing uninterrupted comfort for our guests.
AIR CONDITIONING
Heating and ventilation are powered by efficient aerothermal systems, providing comfort throughout the property. These systems ensure reliable climate control throughout the property.
LIGHTING
Lighting is soft, ambient and carefully layered to combine warmth, functionality and decorative accents. Time-controlled flows and separate “guide” and “general” lighting ensure a luminous environment that enhances the atmosphere while avoiding light pollution. You’ll be astonished by the night skies here.
Building and renovation: In harmony with the past
Throughout the house, marés sandstone and wooden ceiling structures have been restored using traditional techniques, while lime mortar, a natural, breathable material, is used throughout to complement the architectural heritage. Stone from the original farm buildings was repurposed for new walls and to infill gaps.
Thanks to the expertise of local carpenters, blacksmiths, stonemasons, lime workers and historic building specialists, the restoration perfectly harmonises the past with the present by respecting character and context.
Landscaping and conservation: Thoughtful restoration
Everywhere you look, mature trees lend structure and shade to the landscape. Our landscaping team’s philosophy is always “less is more” when it comes to caring for and conserving the land, ensuring the setting feels ancient and wild while remaining a haven for wildlife.
Thoughtful landscaping around the house immerses you in scent and colour through considered planting. Few pleasures compare to floating in the infinity pool, with mountains rising behind and valleys cascading towards the Bay of Palma.
